My experience has shown me that over analysis leads to paralysis. I really really really try to start off by asking myself who the end audience is and then really really really try to create content that will resonate with them. Is the audience of a post a prospect, vendor, provider, partner, peer, associate or an entire community? Am I providing thought provoking and unique information to that audience that they will want to share with others? Is / are my blog and posts optimized for keywords, directories, links, etc.? Am I seeking out the relevant communities to promote my blog?

Like in SEO, there is no "ONE" magic blog-promotion bullet, just lots and lots of smaller components that when completed in tandem with one another, provide better results. I do know that it is a process, not a destination, and it definitely takes time. Lots of time.

I agree, it does take a lot of time.. and tweaking and time... and more tweaking...

Thanks for the advice Ted. We are hoping our blog posts are helpful for our prospects and current customers.... we are trying to do them more frequently now too.
